The main aim of this blog is to give prospective students a little insight into what life is like at the University of Glasgow from a student’s point of view – that student being me. When I started writing this I was 5 weeks into my first year, so I could definitely remember how scary it was first starting university, so I’m hoping my blog will make any prospective students feel a wee bit more at ease if they know roughly what goes on in the course of first year.
In my first year I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths during the first semester and switched Maths for Forensic Medicine for the second semester. My end of year results were ABBDE.

Hi Sammi,
this is Andreu from Barcelona. I’m coming to Glasgow University for staying in a research group how an erasmus student in the Department of Chemistry.I saw your e-mail on uni’s website and so I would like to know if you know somewhere to stay during this first semester, because i applied for uni’s accommodation but I have no idea if I’ll get it.
